Account security
You can manage the security of your Veriam account in the Customer Portal:
Setup Multi-Factor Authentication
You can configure Multi-Factor Authentication (MFA) for your Veriam account. Note that MFA will only be requested (and required) when logging in with email and password.
TOTP
To setup TOTP (using an authenticator app that generates a 6-digit code), click the 'Setup Authentication' button. It will ask you to confirm with your password to ensure you have access to your account. After that, it will open a screen with a QR code that you need to scan with your authenticator app (like Google Authenticator or Microsoft Authenticator). After scanning the QR code, your authenticator app should have an item for Veriam listed, with a generated code. Fill in the code on the screen and click 'Verify and Complete setup'.
If the code is correct, you will see a screen with a couple of backup codes. Make sure to store these codes securely, they can be used (one time each) to login with your Veriam account when you don't have access to your authenticator app. Your TOTP MFA option is now setup and can be used on next login.
You can reset (or delete) your TOTP option from the same place as where you enabled it.
Change password
To change the password you use to access your Veriam account, click the ‘Change’ button next to the password field.
Note that you can only change your password if you have registered a password with your account.
Fill in your current password and the new password.
Click the ‘Set password’ button. Your password will now be changed.
For all future logins, use your new password.
Remove connected accounts
If you have any connected accounts (such as Google, Microsoft or SSO), you can remove them from the ‘Connected Accounts’ overview on your profile simply by clicking the ‘Remove’ button next to the account you want to remove.
This will remove the link between the external account and your Veriam account. After doing this, you can no longer login with that external account. When you have removed all external accounts, you can only login using your Email and Password login.
To reconnect an account, simply login again with that account. If your email address is the same, the external account will automatically be connected to your Veriam account.
Review recent sessions
Your user profile shows an overview of all recent sessions. This can be used to investigate suspicious behaviour on your account. The overview will show all sessions of the past month.
You can also end active sessions from here.
Review login history
All of your login history can also be viewed from your profile. This overview shows you all information regarding your login transactions, for all the organizations you are (or have been) a member of.
